Here is a little reminder for anyone who is thinking of coming to our Les Mis workshop on 7 May but is yet to enrol: this
Monday (18 April) is the deadline for enrolling if you wish to be sure of your music copy. NB If you have already enrolled, you will soon be hearing from us with further
info.
Our summer 2011 schedule is below with a great range of opportunities for people who are
new to singing, or even fearful of giving voice, as well as for those who sing regularly and would like to brush up some skills or try a fresh approach or new repertoire. You can
enrol online for any of our courses at www.arbutusmusic.net and you can also find enrolment forms to download
there if you prefer – or just let us know if you’d like us to post anything to you.
Best wishes
Christine & Frances
SUMMER SCHEDULE 2011
Les Misérables has been an enduring hit show in London’s West End. This is your chance to
come along and give your voice a workout singing some of the hit songs. We’ll be singing together in a group with plenty of opportunities to give vent to the melody or to harmonise – above
or below as you prefer!
Mamma
Mia! Saturday 4th June The Ansell
Centre, Hadleigh in Suffolk All welcome from novices to experienced singers. Come along to enjoy the great melodies or have fun
with harmonising! We are thrilled to have this lovely opportunity to sing “away”. If you have friends in the area do let them know – or you might just fancy a lovely day out
yourself!
Please note, this is enrolling very quickly, so don't delay if you are thinking of enrolling. What better way to spend Midsummer’s Day than singing Shakespeare-inspired music at Copped Hall, near Epping, where A Midsummer Night’s Dream was first performed in 1594. Music from
Arne and Purcell to Porter (Kiss me Kate) and Bernstein (West Side Story).
Wednesday 27th July 10am to 4pm Blackmore
A special day for all singers. We shall be singing the full music version of Joseph, with plenty of challenging close-harmony options as well as the opportunity to enjoy singing out all the well-known tunes, as you
prefer. All welcome - lots of fun for everyone from novice to experienced choral singers.

Hi Frances and Christine
As always, it was a lovely day on Wednesday for Joseph. Light relief from Poulenc and Palestrina!! Urge anyone to give it a go. Exhausted at the end though, did we work hard or was it just me?
