blog.jpgIt's still buzzing. People keep telling us what a great day they had in Theydon Bois with Jonathan Rathbone helping us venture in to swing style.

Comments included ...Jonathan was just excellent...there was a perfect balance of teaching and singing...we learned so much but didn't spend much time being talked to, we were just able to  focus on the music style.

If you missed it, look out for our next day for advanced singers, or join us on one of our events for all singers.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to change the date of our much anticipated Sing and Swing with Jonathan Rathbone. All the other details remain the same, so if you want to find our how to sing 'swing' with style, check out the details of this great day's activities.

I have to tell you how much I so thoroughly enjoyed our Singing Allowed course last week. As always I found it to be a really enjoyable and relaxing day. The choice of music so varied. I wake up in the morning with one or other of the songs in my mind.  The venue was very pleasant also.  I thank you both for the hard work and dedication. It is quite clear that you work well together and enjoy the events also. Roll on the next time.

We enjoyed it very much too, Dance to your Daddy has become my latest 'earworm'! I hope the rest of the participants are getting free from troublesome returning songs. Frances

The giant keyboard came into its own, though 'playing' it upsidedown and in reverse was not a skill I had mastered! ....Must practise for next time....
Half of the course members were new to Arbutus so that was particularly pleasing, not that we don't love all our faithful returners, of course we do!

Comments included "As a musician I was amazed at the way the important aspects of singing were delivered. There was no overwhelming jargon or anyone looking embarassed."

"I feel more confident about rhythms in music and I was pleased that I knew more than I thought"

"I was pleased to do more singing than I expected"

Many thanks to you all for coming along, we are now looking forward to the next two courses, Hiawatha and Singing Allowed. Don't forget to enrol to secure your place soon. www.arbutusmusic.net
